Like my portfolio (and my fees haven't made you leg it out of my virtual doors while screaming your head off) but aren't sure how we could work together?
I've got four unfathomably easy options for you, depending on whether you're looking for advice and guidance so you can get more value out of your fintech marketing or need an extra pair of hands to help you with execution.
1. Pick my brain
Price:
£150 plus VAT
Ideal if:
You need specific, focussed, one-on-one advice
Typical turnaround time:
Immediate. Book a slot.
This is the lowest-stakes (and most inexpensive) way to work with me. We jump on an hour-long call and discuss your burning marketing and copywriting questions:
Positioning and other big-picture strategy niggles
Your core values, content pillars, and other aspects of your marketing strategy
Marketing campaign ideas
Tactical copywriting advice
You'll get targeted, tactical, and practical advice you can implement as soon as you end the call.
2. Copy audit
Price:
Starts at £850 plus VAT, depending on scope
Ideal if:
You have in-house resources, but need a fresh and unbiased pair of eyes
Typical turnaround time:
Five working days from payment
You know something's not working with your website, blog, newsletter, or other marketing assets. But, for the life of you, you can't quite put your finger on it. Maybe you're way too close to be objective. Or, more simply, you (or your in-house team) have been working on it so hard and for so long that you've lost all sense of perspective.
I'll take a look under the hood and put together a report with a list of practical fixes which you can implement yourself.
3. Ad-hoc copy project
Price:
Depends on the deliverable. See my starting fees
Ideal if:
You have a specific project you don't have capacity for, or want to test the waters before committing to working with me long-term.
Typical turnaround time:
Depends on how full my schedule is and the project scope. I usually have a two-to-three week lead time and deliver within two weeks of the deposit payment clearing. I usually split larger websites and big projects like white papers into milestones.
This is where you hire me to work with you on a specific copywriting project:
A website rewrite (my absolute favourite type of project to work on)
A single landing page, blog post, or case study
A white paper, ebook, or report
An email nurture sequence, brochure, flyer, or two-pager for sales follow-up
After you brief me, I'll send over my standard contract and a deposit invoice. In most cases, I'll then interview one or more subject-matter experts, review the background materials you send me, do some more research on my own, and put together a draft for you to look at. You then send me your feedback and I'll tweak and finalise it.
On longer projects like white papers, or where you're not sure of the angle and direction, I'll put together an outline first. This is a rough and ready draft which you and your stakeholders can take a look at and feel comfortable pulling apart. The idea is to front-load the work and make sure everyone is happy before we progress to a full draft.
For website rewrites, I usually start with a single page first, to set a benchmark. This helps make sure the rest of the project goes quicker and more smoothly.
4. Ongoing retainer
Price:
Depends on the scope, with a £1,500 plus VAT per month minimum
Ideal if:
You have ongoing copywriting needs and want somebody who can hit the ground running and get to know your fintech business, but can't justify a full-time hire.
Typical turnaround time:
You're guaranteed a chunk of my availability every month. We agree the scope of work in advance, but there's also flexibility to move things around.
Here, you get priority access to me on an ongoing basis — in other words, you're guaranteed my availability — but without being locked in. My retainer contracts renew on a monthly rolling basis, and you can increase, decrease, or pause by giving me 30 days' notice. No questions asked.
I offer two types of retainers:
Defined scope
This is where you know exactly what kinds of deliverables you'll need from one month to another. For example, you hire me to write 3 blog posts a month.
Credit based
This is where your needs change from month to month. I charge a basic fee that covers your most common needs (for example, you know that most of the time, you'll need two blog posts). If you need help with a bigger project or there's a spike in requirements, you can either make a one-off top-up payment, or spread the cost over a number of months.
